Hi there, I just installed a 250Gb Samsung Evo 850. I did a fresh OS install, as I'm keeping the HDD onboard as a secondary, and the few games I have on there, I can just do a fresh download/install from Steam.
There is one exception though. I'm running a heavily modded Fallout: New Vegas, and if I can avoid re-downloading the game and all the mods, I'd like to.
When I boot Windows from the SSD, The .exe for Fallout on the HDD doesn't work. I figured that if I rebooted and entered setup, I could get it to boot from the HDD. But it just booted from the SSD anyway.
So far, the only way I have been able to get Fallout to run is to disconnect the SSD, switch back into IDE mode, and reboot. Is there an easier way? Or would I be better off just biting the bullet and doing a fresh install of Fallout on the SSD, along with downloading and installing all the mods?
