I got this laptop for Christmas and want to know if I could play games on it? Can someone give me there opinion if this could handle some games on medium to low settings.

http://

1. I have the lowest priced option for $549 it has the pentium in it and lists graphics card as N/A? If I exchange it for the next one up it says it has the i3 6100u and the Intel HD graphics.

2. What Intel HD graphics does that mean?

3. Would the next one priced at $599 be able to handle games if the one I have can't?

I don't know much about pc specs so a professional opinion would be appreciated. This isn't a gaming laptop but I want to know what it could handle. Thanks

Intel HD Graphics is a GPU integrated into the CPU. The lower end model has one too. From the looks of it you could play some very basic games on it, MOBAs and maybe some older FPS games would be ok on it (maybe CS:GO too) but more demanding games would be unplayable. Actually, even the 900$ model of that series wouldn't play any big games.

I've never really played pc games so how bad is low settings? Do you still think it would even be worth getting the one up for $50 or will it not make a difference.

I know it's mainly for other things but I thought it would be a cool bonus if it could play games. I already expected it wasn't going to work but wanted to here it from some one else.

If you're actually going to buy a laptop look into Asus' options. They tend to have the best performing laptops in that price range.
