Hello, I am worried about my CPU.

I have an AMD FX-8320 which is stock 3,5GHz with Turbo 4,0GHz. I bought ArmA 3 some days ago and I found myself having low fps. I've overclocked before so I thought "Why not overclock it too 4,5GHz when I have cooling for it (Cooler Master 212 Evo). I overclocked it too 4,5GHz stable and I increased the FPS. Everything worked and I haven't had any issues until now.

This morning I started my computer and started playing ArmA 3 Wasteland with my friends. Everything worked as I wanted it too. After a while I started streaming on Twitch ArmA 3 and CS:GO. Everything went great until for about 30 min ago.

I started ArmA 3 and when I went on multiplayer Wasteland I had 9-10 fps. I stopped playing and
I started the game "Black Mesa". When I started it both my monitors went black for about 5 seconds. I thought it was wierd but didn't think much of it. After 30 seconds it happened again but my PC turned off. I immediately figured out it was my CPU.

Restarted my PC and opened "Open Hardware Monitor" and saw something terribly wrong. My cpu temp was on 45-56 idle. I ran prime95 to see how far it could go and it went a little bit over 60.
Stopped Prime95 and now I'm here asking for help.
What could be the issue? It used to run 25-35 idle.

My specs.
► GTX 970
► AMD FX-8320 Overclocked 4,5GHz
► Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
► Gigabyte FX990-UD3
► 16 GB RAM
► 750W GOLD PSU
► 500GB Samsung SSD
► 1TB HDD
► Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus
I can't really play anything right now. I could turn off my PC and wait till tomorrow but then I am not solving the problem.

Thanks.

Solution
Your temps are higher, but should not shut the system down. I would also look into the MB and GPU temps.

To get your CPU temp lower, you should take apart the system, and blow out any dust with compressed air. The next step is to apply new thermal paste after cleaning off the existing paste with isopropyl alcohol. You already have an upgraded CPU cooler which should be fine.
