New case for under £50

Hi guys,

My current case is small, ugly, has bad airflow and the power & reset switches are broken. So, I'm looking for a new one
■I'm mainly looking at black cases, but I'll consider others if they look nice :)
■I want it to have a black interior, or one that is painted according to colour scheme
■I'd like the PSU to be mounted at the bottom
■I'd like decent airflow; water cooling isn't something I'll ever do, at least whilst I own this case
■I'd like it to have at least 2 external 5.25" bays and 4 internal 3.5" bays.
■I'm looking at mid towers but I'd consider a full tower if the price was right.
■Size is not an issue
■I can go either way with LEDs and lighting etc. - they look good in some cases and bad in others
■It would be nice to have an internal 2.5" bay for an SSD and an external 3.5" bay for a fan controller or something but they're definitely not necessary - I don't have either of those things at the moment.
■I'd like to keep it under £50, but I can go above that if it's really nice

I'm sure there's something I've left out, but I can't remember anything right now...
Not all of those points above are absolute essentials so feel free to recommend something even if it doesn't fit every single criteria above.

Thanks ;)

Thanks for those suggestions. Here are my thoughts on them:

Antec 300: Looks nice, looks like it has good airflow. Antec are popular for cases obviously, but a few people over at OCN have tried to dissuade me from buying them, saying that there are better options out there for the same price. Shame that this case doesn't have a black interior though :(
From various reports and images around the place, it doesn't seem like this has very good cable management.

Xigmatek Midgard: I've seen it before and it looks like a very nice case. It is a bit more expensive than I had hoped and I have yet to work out if it's worth the extra money. Has anybody used this case who can comment on it?

NZXT Gamma: I'm undecided on whether I like the somewhat odd shape of the front panel. There is also the NZXT M59 which I have spotted. It looks a bit like the big brother of the Gamma :D Do you know what the main differences are? Seems like the M59 can be had for a little over £50 delivered.

Wow. So, I'm guessing you would say that it isn't worth the extra cost to get the M59? I'm not very bothered about a window; I don't have that much to show off :D

Out of the two of those, I like the look of the 912 more. I wouldn't like the US version as that has the grey interior but since we get the "plus" over here with the black interior, I think it looks really nice.

If only it was £10 cheaper...

Makes sense. I have a feeling that if I bought the Gamma I would always have a little nagging thought in my head saying "why didn't you get the M59..." so I think I can rule out the Gamma at this point :p
Having looked around a bit on other forums and the like, here's my current list:
■NZXT M59
■Silverstone Precision PS03B
■Xigmatek Midgard

Feels like there's something missing from that list though, but I can't think of it at the moment.

Hmm... You're making me wonder whether I should just forget about the black interior and get a nice case with a grey interior. I guess the only time I'm going to see the interior is when I open up the case and hopefully I won't have to do that too much :D
I am tempted by the Antec 300 but there are two things which put me off - the cable management and the fact that it doesn't come with the dual 120mm LED fans in the front like it's always pictured with :p
I'm also tempted by the Midgard but it is more than I had intended on spending :/

I've actually seen that review before :D
Read below though

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before but I personally think that the PS05B and the Elite 430 are quite ugly cases, so it puts me off.
I've got a few cases that I'm considering, and a few things putting me off about each one:

NZXT M59: Not sure about the appearance of the front panel still but I think it's something I could grow to like, and it's no bad thing really having a case with a unique design, seeing as so many cases out there look similar :)

Silverston Precision PS03B: It doesn't look like it has great cable management but apart from that I'm liking it. I need to read a few reviews though, and there aren't any. If someone has this case I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Antec 300: Still not sure about the grey interior, and I'm a bit put off by the fact that so many people seem to have drilled holes to get decent cable management. I like the exterior looks and airflow however, and people in general seem to like it.

Xigmatek Midgard: Looks good all round and seems to have mostly positive reviews. One review which I watched showed how the build quality wasn't great. Thin side panels (don't matter to me though) and flimsy locking mechanisms for PCI cards and drives. The price puts me off though.

^+1 exactly spend a few more pounds.
I have one of these it's called a Basic in N.A. and it's an excellent case fully filtered intakes and excellent cable management. Bonus fan in U.K. version.
Coolermaster CM 690 II Lite -£65.32

Or a Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus-£68.09 if you like that look i don't but to each their own.

Honestly as far as looks go that's personal but you'd be surprised how fast you can change your mind once you see something in person.
I originally had my heart set on a CM HAF 922 until i saw one in person bought an Antec 902 instead.
Same story with an Antec 300 bought a CM 690II instead but that was based more on features then looks.

What's the expression? Beer tastes and champagne pockets? Something like that, that's what I'm like unfortunately :(
Well, I could afford to spend more but I have other things that I should probably buy instead of computer stuff :p
I've tried looking on eBay but there seem to be barely any cases for sale. Which is unfortunate, because I really wouldn't mind a second hand case as long as it was in good condition.

I'm very torn between deciding which features and so on I can live without and getting the best case for £50, or spending a bit more, say £70.

I have decided that I will get the Cooler Master 690 II Lite/Basic. It looks great, has everything I want etc. and has been reduced to £57.55 on Scan.co.uk, where I can get free shipping.

I tried to give the best answer to Davcon (the one quoted in my previous post) but every time I click on "Select as best answer" it comes up with the box, I press yes, and nothing happens. The box goes away but it doesn't give you the best answer. Sorry :(
I'll see what I can do to fix it...
