Hey guys just finished my new build.
I5 6500 processor
Asus H170 motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTx 970
8gb ram
Seagate 1tb hard drive

Just installed everything. Double checked it all. Finally closed up the case and started it up for the first time.

First thing it did was turn on and off about 3 times in a row on its own. It just rebooted a couple of times.

Now, there are a few red led lights slowly and continuously flashing on the motherboard in unison. Unsure what that mean, in the manual it says breathing mode? I'm unsure what that means so could someone explain!

Also, at the moment I'm still waiting for my monitor to ship in, in the mean time I tried connecting the hdmi to the tv in hopes that it would work. Sadly nothing came up. Although it being a brand new build with no os on it, would the hdmi work in the first place? Or do I need to back track and try to see if something is amiss in the pc?

Solution
Check that the memory is seated correctly, also check any cable connections. You plugged the extra PCIE power cables to the graphics card? You should get signal through the HDMI.

I feel pretty stupid not going to lie. I did not realize the graphics card had an hdmi port. So after over an hour of research and thinking I messed up and ruined my build. After all my frustration...I found the hdmi port in the card and everything runs perfect. So much satisfaction right now haha
