My New PC Won't Boot After Trying to Install Ubuntu

Hello. I recently put together a new PC from scratch. It's my first custom PC. I booted the PC with Ubuntu on a flash drive and on the home screen there was a shortcut entitled "install Ubuntu". I followed the prompts and it said that since there was no previous OS detected on the computer, that I could choose to erase all saved data on the computer so it would partition part of the hard drive for Ubuntu. I agreed, and then the installation wizard wanted to know where I was. I clicked on my home state from a drop-down list and then the computer froze. After waiting 10 minutes, I manually turned off my computer and waited a bit more before turned it back on. Since then, every time I turn my computer on, I see the ASUS logo (the motherboard is ASUS), but I don't go to the BIOS. Instead, all I see is a blinking command line on the top-left corner. If anyone knows how I can fix this, or if I need a new motherboard or hard drive, please respond. Thank you.

Solution
Okay, try this:

STEP 1: Hit the RESET button, and keep spamming F12
STEP 2: If this does not work, hit RESET and spam F8
STEP3: Select the HDD as the first boot device, and USB has second
STEP 4: See if anything happens

If this faisl, set USB as boot device and reinstall Ubuntu. Good luck!

Ahhh, the joys of Linux....sarcasm aside, this is a common problem. Proabbaly just Linux being Linux Lol. Go into the BIOS and make sure it boots from the HDD, not USB. If this doesn't work, set it to boot from USB and try reinstalling Ubuntu. Good luck.
