Hi!

I have a PC (Corsair 200R, MSI Z97 gaming 5, i5-4690k, gigabyte gtx970, 2x 8gb hyperx savage ram and more stuffs), I didn't put together myself, and it only has stock CPU cooler, but the CPU gets quite hot at full loads and also I plan to overclock it, so I need more cooling power.

First I thought about buying CoolerMaster hyper 212 evo, and I read a lot about that it will fit just fine in the 200R.

Second, the 200R comes with 2 preinstalled fans (front and rear), and I think I will buy 3x 140 mm fans in addition, 2 at the top (as outtake fans) and one at the rear, (as intake).

And here come my questions: according to my measurements, the CM 212 will block the upper one of the side places where you can install the side fans, so I need to install the side one at the bottom position.

Also wouldn't this be an overkill? And I have read a lot about negative and positive case pressure, and that negative is good for the performance oriented setups (which I think I have), but isn't this too much? Or (as I think) air fill find its way into the case and will it be no problem?

3rd question: what fans do you recommend? I read that Noctua fans are of high quality but quite expensive as well, so I'm open to pretty much everything.

Should I get a fan controller? Or where should I plug my fans?

I would really appreciate any recommentadions and if somebody happens to have a similar setup, I would be more than happy to recieve some tips or even pictures from them.

Thanks

I have that case and a similar cooler. I use two intakes at the front which blow cool air across the drives towards the CPU cooler. The CPU cooler has two exhausts above it and the fan on the cooler itself blows through the heatsink to the rear fan, which is also exhaust. The GPU and PSU both exhaust out of the case. My goal was to have good front to rear air flow, which it has. Cable management will be necessary for good airflow too. My motherboard temps stay at nearly ambient temperature. Since my cooler isn't identical, I can't tell you if you can get two fans above it. Don't get too hung up on the neg/pos thing as good airflow is what your after. If your not going to use a fan controller, use quieter fans and connect them via molex...

If your not going to use a fan controller, use quieter fans and connect them via molex connectors. If you use high static pressure fans, they will be loud at full speed.
