So I've purchased the A-DATA SP550 120gb model and have read online that it will slow down over time. Should i be worried about this? Should I return it and buy a better quality ssd? If anyone has any recommendations for a good ssd under 55 dollars (128 gb) or 65 dollars (256gb/240gb) let me know. THanks.

all "cheap" ssd's will slow down over time (months/year) depending how much you write and delete from.
The problem with the SP550 is that it has a 6~ GB cache so if you write sequentially more than that, it will slow down to 40mb/s writes

other than that its "ok" drive for the price

Actually the Crucial MX200 SSD is also in the same price range as that Samsung SSD sugested earlier by woodson75. The SanDisk SSD PLUS is also one that is the lower price range if that is what you are looking for.
