Hey everyone!

So, I just built my new PC and i've got a bit of an issue, my GPU is not being detected, the fans are running on the gpu except im getting no signal to my monitor, if i switch to integrated graphics however then there is signal and i am currently using integrated graphics now, ive installed all the updates and drivers etc so now it's just this issue that I need to fix.

The GPU is an GTX 760

Motherboard is AsRock Z97 Pro3

Help me!

Well, the bios is set to use PCIE/ dedicated whenever available yes? and all the power connectors are attached and you have the monitor feed attached to the card? If the power supply is ample too, then you either have a bad PCIE slot or card. the fact that the drivers installed implies it was detected by something.

Answers to both your answers.

Cables are connected, both 2 6 pins in the card.

BIOS is set to PCI E as default graphics.

When I plug in the monitor cable to the gpu I don't get a response like I do when I plug in the cable to the motherboards onboard graphics, like when the computer is off but the psu switch is on I get a response on the screen for a second except I get none with the GPU.

I mean the GPU's fan is running so I'm a bit confused here.

Ok, I'm going to assume here that the GPU is gone so what I need to know now is, does the PCI E slot actually work? I'm going to save up for a 970 and I don't want to buy it, put it in the slot and get the same issue. I want to buy like a 610 or something to test the slot beforehand but am unsure on what to do.
