Memory ram problem 1600mhz on 1333 mother board

Hello i purchased a ram memory stick DDR3 1600MHZ my mother board can run only 1333mhz but în shold work , when i am trying to start the pc with the new RAM it won t start it just stays Black please help

If you have any other spare sticks of ram, put that in, go to your BIOS and set the default ram speed to 1333Mhz, then put your new stick in.

If no joy with the above, reset the CMOS and try the nw by themselves, and what's the 'new' DRAM? If it's ECC it's probably not compatible....also if an older mobo, good chance the DRAM just isn't compatible, so also what mobo?

May well be the new DRAM is well 'new', most all DDR3 made these days is using high density memory chips, where back in the day of your mobo (a socket 775, G41) they were made to spec with the then low density memory chips, might look for the older original Ripjaws or GSkill's NT line of value DRAM 9both use low density chips)
