Graphics card won't get past boot up on hp

I have a hp pavilion elite hpe I have swapped an GeForce gtx 420 for a GeForce nvidia 750 ti oc I have a 460 w psu and the card requires 400 I installed the drivers while old card was still attached haven't removed the 420 drivers but when I hdmi to my new graphics card it's get to the hp but up screen it won't load windows 10 it says press esc for start up menu or something to that affect can anyone help

Just the blue hp boot up screen and its says press esc for start up menu I press that it comes on a black screen with manufacture bios I think and yeah the graphics card needed that six pin connection from the psU

Okay. Do you have a six pin power cable to plug into it? Did you plug it in?

Even though that power supply meets the requirements, it might not be enough depending on what else you have in the system. If you have a DVD drive, a couple hard drives, etc, it might not be enough power.

I'm actually going to order one too! Haha. I hadn't heard of them until I was looking up how to test one for you. There is a good article on Tom's Hardware that breaks down the best power supplies so I would read that.
