Old Hard disc slows pretty good pc?

I have pretty good pc, but it is rly slow. My brother has almost same pc, but he has 500 gb hard disc, bought 4 years ago, and i have hard disc 150 gb , bought about 8 years ago. His pc is really fast even he has intel pentium g850 (i have intel pentium g2020), and mine is so slow. Is it hard disc that cause slowing down my pc or something else?

specs:
2gb ddr3 RAM
intel pentium g2020 2.9 ghz dual core
amd radeon r7 240 ddr3 2 gb
ATA Hitachi HDS72161 SCSI 160 gb

No it is because the HDD is old more than likely. It is probably a SATA gen 1 running at 1.5Gbps while his is probably a SATA gen 2 or even gen 3, depending on the model.

Also age can really affect performance if the drive is starting to go bad.
