I am not familiar with any of these 3 devices are new for me. (I am very behind on technology)
a. 2in1 detachable
b. 2in1 convertible
c. ultrabook
(by the way, these questions are regarding on windows OS on all 3)

They seemed to be very different from old VAIO laptop have which only last 2~3hours on battery.
I got a tablet (ASUS notepad) some time ago and I liked how it lasts about 5~7 days idle (wifi off, maybe 3~5 days with wifi) when I don't use it.

1. Do these 3 products have long battery (like staying on for few days to a week when not used? - like my Android tablet. I know windows have sleep mode, but it doesn't feel the same as idle tablet)

2. Does alarm, messenger, music player work like Android?
What I'm asking is if I leave it in sleep mode (I don't know if that's what it's called), will it still get alarm/messenger?

3. Does 2in1 have fan? If so how's the sound compared to laptop?

I was thinking maybe ultrabooks are just lighter laptop but then...is it?

Solution
1. Some of the them do, yes. The lower powered Core M or ULV CPU ultrabooks and 2in1s can have great battery life. 9-10+ hours of use on battery. The sleep mode, depending on how you set up the sleep mode settings within Windows should give you a good long time. Weeks, months, depending on what you enable to happen during sleep mode.

2. Yes, if you enable those applications to work during sleep mode. They will work.

3. Some 2in1s do, some don't. The Core M 2in1s usually are fanless. Most have some form of fan for cooling. The sound of the tiny fans in these systems are very quiet 98% of the time.

ah so I can use 2in1's and ultrabooks like a tablet? Or is it still different?

tablet sleep mode feels different from windows sleep mode... like in windows, I have to wait a bit until it loads up whereas tablet loads up instantly, but i dont know about newer 2in1 and ultrabook.
