Hello.

I recently upgraded from a 6870 to 970 and to go along with this upgrade I bought JC3 and Shadow of Mordor to use my new GPU. I was dissapointed to notice (even though frames on both games are around 60 most of the time) Frame drops in both games sometimes in high physics or action areas and events but also at random points. (No clear correlation).

PC components-
All components are at out of the box clock speeds

I do not see any obvious bottle necking as no component is being fully utilized.

Any help would be greatly appreciatied. (I'm new around these parts :??: )

Interesting. I don't know what to say in that case. I would try trimming down a setting at a time to see if you can find a game setting that's causing it since all of...

Honestly that's pretty normal in open world games like those, but I would try having GeForce Experience set your settings as there could be a specific graphics setting that the card doesn't handle well. You could also look up recommended settings from other people online for the same issue.

I am currently using the optimal settings from Nvidia experience on both games, Which makes me worried, as you wouldn't think that Nvidia would make settings presets that frame drop. I kind of excused JC3 as it is buggy anyway, but shadow of mordor has been out for ages.
