Asking a question for work that I just cannot solve. A client has a MBP that they have been backing up to a Toshiba EHDD. They claim that recently (right after an update) the EHDD suddenly is not being recognized. So I have tried with The OS they are using and Windows to access this drive (FAT32 formated.) Seagate tools verified the integrity of the drive, but I cannot access the files in either OS. the Drive shows up in W10 and OSX but the formated partition will not mount. We are down to re formatting and using a data recovery tool. Was hoping someone would have a suggestion before doing the extreme.
