2 3 pin fans not reaching full speed when plugged into a 4 pin header, validated: a 4 pin fan plugged in rated at a lower CFM was blowing more air than a higher CFM 3 pin.

I think it still depends on what setting your BIOS allowes the fans to spin regardless of the full voltage. I'm not too sure about this. I have 3 pin fans all around my case and even the one connected to a 4 pin motherboard, was running full speed so I bought a fan controller.

Im using a SATA plugged fan controller(in the 380t), i think its just something with the 3 or 4 pin connectors

To be clear the 4 pin rated to move less air moves more air than the fan rated for less air

Could it just be that 3 pin fans don't like 4 pin plugs or something? And any ideas how to make this work properly?
