What motherboard + CPU combo for R9 270?

I have a AMD R9 270 and my CPU has been lacking a little bit. It is the A6 - 5400k and I think it's time for an upgrade. I have about $200 and maybe could get a little bit more and I need a CPU that can get a lot done. I have two monitors and I usually have Skype, Firefox, and a game of my choice in the other monitor. I play a lot of FPS and Minecraft and need to know what a good Motherboard and CPU would be :) Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

What would have the best performance between the Intel i3 and the FX - 6300?

I also have 1 x 4gb stick of Gskill ripjaw ram but Iy have 2 slots for ram and I can't find another 1 x 4 Gskill ram anywhere. I'll probably end up buying 2 x 8 gb.
