I have a pretty old computer (6-7 years i think)
Specs:
-Motherboard: Intel DH55HC Specs Here
-CPU: Intel Core i3 540 3.07GHz 3mb Cache
-Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5
-Power Supply: 900 W I think, dont really have the specs anymore.
-Ram: 2x2GB Kingston DDR3
-HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 500GB

My question is if i could upgrade this pc by buying new components (CPU, RAM, graphics card) or sell everything i

can and build a new one.
My budget is very limited and im a gamer. Right now i cant get good fps in any game at all and its just

frustrating, so im here for some advice.

My thoughts about this was to buy a Intel i3-6100 3.6GHz, an AMD R7 360 2gb and bump my ram to 8GB total(buy 4GB

extra). The problem was i didnt check my MB socket which isn't compatible with the processor i chose. Should i

change the processor or my MB (limited to a budget ofc). Also how well would these new components perform in games

like WoW, League of Legends, Fallout 4?
Any thoughts?

I forgot to mention that i don't live in the US, so prices here are a bit higher and the gap between the 950 and the r9 380 is about 90$. I guess im going for the gtx 950 + i3 6100 + B150M-A D3...

If you can, grab a new motherboard. Much better than an original i3. Definitely bump your RAM, but save up for a GPU. To play on good settings on fallout, you need at least a 750 Ti, if not an R9 380.

Yes i figured the RAM is really a must, no doubts about it. I was just looking at the 750Ti (R9 380 way too expensive for me right now) but does it really perform well at 1080p(talking about the 750Ti ofc)?
Could you elaborate a bit more about the Motherboard. Would that be better than buying a new processor? Mine is pretty old.
Thanks for the reply anyways :)

The 750 Ti does fine in GTA V on medium settings (60 FPS) at 1080p, or so my friend says.

For motherboard, I mean getting a new motherboard AND processor. First generation CORE series (Triple Digit i3 and i5 LGA1156 processors) are useless today for nearly everything.

Okay that makes more sense. Which processor + motherboard would you reccomend with the 750Ti?
Also, what about buying a 2GB GTX 950 instead?

EDIT: i3-6100 3.7GHz + Intel B150M-A D3 , thoughts?

Honestly, it really depends. Sometimes, like now, the 950 goes for $130. But usually, it goes for $150, putting it in the same price bracket as the R9 380, which is vastly superior. A 2GB 380 costs $165 now. I would very much say save and but that, but if you have to go Nvidia, a cheap 950 should suffice. Look at PcPartPicker, they can sort and show all GPUs currently on the market, plus their prices and sellers. Just go to "Browse individual parts".

http://pcpartpicker.com/

As for that motherboard and CPU, that should be just fine.
