I have a laptop about 3 months old (still under warranty) and yesterday i started to notice that pages in Chrome were taking forever to load and chrome would become unresponsive and same goes for all computer. When I open Task Manager I noticed that disk was working at 100% but there was no program that would be using it. I run antivirus and MalwareBytes but no threats were found. Other ting what I noticed was that antivirus would scan for a minute then stop and do nothing for cca 5 to 10 minutes the whole time.

So I would like to ask if anybody can tall me what could be wrong and what should i do?

Good start with Task Manager.

You have some other diagnostic tools/ opportunities available:

1) From Windows Run do "perfmon /res" without the quotes. A window will open in which you can monitor many of the things that are going on within your system.

2) Open the Even Viewer and see if you can identify some process starting or stopping whenever the loading slows.

You will need to watch it all a bit to become familar with the information being presented. However, you will soon learn what is normal and what is not.

If something really seems to stand out please post accordingly. Thanks.

At this point computer is lagging so much I can't even open my computer... Is there any way to get files from the hard drive (safe mode or something like it)

And Hard Drive Sentinel found 3 bad sectors...

3 bad sectors could be a sign of a worse hard drive failure in the making.

Safe mode will/should at least get your system running with just the basic services necessary. You may or may not be able to copy files.

I would at least give safe mode a try and start copying as soon as you can. Check and shutdown any uncessary programs that do start. Disconnect from the internet and network as well.

Save your data first any way that you can do so. Even if slow. Verify that the data has been correctly saved before continuing with any other diagnostic or recovery actions.

So i tried Safe mode. Computer is still very unresponsive but I managed to get some of my personal files from it (the most necessary things). But what is bothering me is why computer is still so laggy in safe mode aren't there only the most necessary thing running in safe mode?
Could this mean something is wrong with Hard Drive?

Yes. Something could be wrong with the hard drive.

However, now that your data is "safe" you can, if you wish, investigate further.

Use "perfmon /res" to see what your system is doing. You can focus on the hard drive, the CPU, memory, network...

Look for applications and services that are running. You can google anything that is not directly recognizable. Only takes one "buggy" or misconfigured app to really slow things down. Maybe multiple AV scans being run..... Some app trying to continuously update or phone home.

If you find anything that is using up what seems to be an undue amout of some resource, end the process and see if normal performance returns.

Maybe you have some hard drive diagnostic software via the manufacturer that you can run.

No sense in replacing the hard drive per se until you are really sure that the hard drive is indeed the problem.

Yes you do have that option but I would read the warranty's "fine print" beforehand.

Once they have the computer then it is out of your control. Getting a repair becomes a "maybe".

It is in your best interest to at least see if you can find something tangible that is covered by warranty.

In that case I will reinstall Windows and formatted hard drive and see what will happen.
Thank you for all your help, if i will have any other question I will post it here.

And happy new year :)
