Hey guys, only just made this account as I'm in some desperate needs right now

Long story short I purchased a new graphics card, put it into my PC, and when I booted my computer it got stuck on a black screen with a flashing underscore in the top left hand corner.

After googling the issue, read that I may need to do a BIOS update since I was going from a GTS 450 to a GTX 750 ti graphics card.

So, since my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-H6MI-S2PV rev 2, I downloaded the latest BIOS from gigabyte and followed their step by step instructions
http://www.gigabytenordic.com/how-to-update-your-bios-o...

The bios said that it had updated successfully and prompted me to reboot the computer, the computer rebooted then shut down after 5 seconds.

After i boot my computer now this always happens, if i do a system repair no errors are found. I am unable to boot my PC in safe mode, either..

The gigabyte logo appears which has never happened before, and then a blue screen flashes for a split second, and i get sent to the system repair window

Hoping that someone can help me out :/

Solution
Remove the CMOS battery for 5 minutes and then put it back, and don't forget the remove the power cable from PSU prior to removing the CMOS battery, see if it helps. And double check the connections of wires and if the GPU is seated properly. Another thing, do your GPU needs a 6 PIN PCI-E power connector ? if so did you plug it in properly ? What is the make/model of your PSU ?
