You are better off upgrading your GPU really, as if you are looking at a 775-based PC it is probably from 2010 or earlier so the best you would have is a GeForce 285. What GPU do you have?
In terms of raw benchmark the Q8200 beats the E7500 but the E7500 would win on single-core performance. Can you not afford the jump to a newer / better Core 2 Quad?
