On my power supply i only have a single Molex free (no 6pin connectors) Will one 4pin Molex to 6pin PCI-E Adapter power a 750ti? Or maybe something more powerful what kind of card will this be okay with?

Non Branded
Model: ATX_500B
color: Green
Voltage: 230v
Current: 5A

It seems that the EVGA 750ti has an 85w Power requirement, 75w of which you would get from the PCIe connector on the motherboard I believe so you may be ok in using the adapter but without knowing the exact make of the PSU I cannot say for certain. According to the reviews it seems that the card will draw around 120W whilst gaming so depending what else is going on in your system it may or may not be fine.

This may sound like a non committal answer but PSU's are so often overlooked as part of a whole system. The cheaper non branded models are often...

Hi Kierron. Can you provide details of what power supply you have (make and model) and also the same for your 750ti. Any other information on your system may help in working out PSU load and whether it is sufficient. I personally am not a fan of using molex to PCIe connectors but until we have the info then I will remain neutral.

This may sound like a non committal answer but PSU's are so often overlooked as part of a whole system. The cheaper non branded models are often great for your day to day general computing as they do not get pushed that hard and despite often being rated as 400 / 500 / 600w they often perform considerably under that specification. Your PSU may work but you may also be putting it under a lot of pressure. I would look into getting a power supply that is more fit for your needs (pci-e connectors for a start). This does not mean going out and buying a 1000W behemoth but something that has all the power you need and a bit to spare, preferably from a reputable manufacturer.

Thankyou, will i be fine if i get a EVGA 750Ti SC which is the smaller version which doesn't require external power? I just found it on amazon.

300 watts PSU minimum requirement

As the card does not require a PCIe connector I would say it would work fine. As you do not have the connector anyway it makes more sense than trying to use something for what it was not originally intended. I would consider looking into a more robust PSU in the future should you do any further upgrades but this should be your best bet for now.

Most definitely, This card shall do me for now but i will definitely look into upgrading that power supply. I should have looked more into the power supply i guess i overlooked it's importance. Thank you very much for helping me out. It's very much appreciated !
