Hello , im setting up my system as we speak and wanted to know about the PCIE power connector it has 2 8 pins on one cable can I use both of them to power up my gpu? (390) or its better to set up another cable for the other connector to the gpu.

Also the motherboard connector is not marked which side should go to my psu is there a difference?

EDIT: My psu has 2 12v rails its seasonic m12 evo 620

Solution
If it is a single +12 volt rail PSU one cable with two connectors is fine.
If the board cable is the same both ends probably no difference but most the ones I have seen are not the same.

also the motherboard connector one is regular the other has a split. the regular has 24 pins the other has 18+10 so im guessing the 18+10 should be going to the psu?

is there any risk involved like burning the gpu? Or just to be safe it would be smarter to connect to 2 cables?

You will not find any problems if you plugg in 2 heads from the same cable. You probably do that with your hard drives and DVD-ROM don't you?

ok thank u one last question , I cant reuse my cables from old psu but can I use the sata cables the ones that go in to the motherboard and into the drives? because my psu did not come with them so I guess its ok to use them?

You can use them yes....

If the plugs are compatible and the pin out is the same. I have never heard of PSU's not coming with all the cables you need.
