My old graphics card is a asus gtx 760 and the new one i bought is a msi gtx 960 4gb. I completely removed all traces of the old drivers with driver sweeper. I reseted the bios but with no success.

My specs:
corsair 600w powersupply
Msi 970 gaming motherboard
2 sticks of 4gb corsair memory

Your graphics card may not show up correctly in Devices until the new drivers have been installed. You have just mentioned RAM issues. What issue did you have with this as this could have something to do the non boot. What slot is the GFX card now in? The one nearest the bottom?

The ram issue i hade was that my pc didnt boot with more than 2 sticks of 4gb ram installed. Had a tech guy help me and he said that nothing more could be done so i sended the rams back. I just installed the drivers for the gtx 960 and yes it is in the slot nearest the bottom.
Thanks for answering so quick btw! :D

Its strange that the card will boot in the second but not the top slot. What BIOS version are you on just for me to have a look.

Is the system working now? After installing the drivers is your card now showing up in windows?

I have been looking at the latest BIOS updates for your motherboard and cannot seem to see a M.42. The latest version on the MSI website is 22.3 from here : http://

Yes i got the bios version by a employer at the msi forum, after i asked him/her about the ram issue. Her/him said it was a beta version. But do i get any performance issues by having it in the bottom slot?

Ah ok. As it didn't solve your memory issue it may be worth going back to the latest official release but that is your decision really. From the look of the specs of your motherboard the second PCIe slot will only work at a maximum of x8 so that may hinder your performance. To what extent I am unsure
