My computer will not boot up. Period. Unless I give it about three months to rest, it will not boot up at all. How could I transfer the files to free up the memory and be able to perform a factory reset? It is an Acre Aspire 5535, and I have a two-way USB connector. Also, if I do have to take out the hard drive and connect it to my desktop, what should I do? I literally have no idea how to do this. Thank you in advance.

To be clear, you're asking how to clear out HDD space not memory.

Flip over your laptop and find out where the HDD is connected, there will be several screws and upon pulling it out it will sit in a tray. Power off your desktop. Plug in your laptop HDD via SATA and power connections. Power on your desktop and browse through your laptop's HDD. This is assuming there is nothing in your way such as full disk encryption, any sort of password protection yadda yadda...

Two things... What is HDD and what do you mean by SATA?

What do you mean by power connections? Is there a good video to use as a guide? Also, there is no seperate area for the HDD.
