Hello,
I have a computer with AMD fx 4300 as CPU, a EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC GAMING ACX 2.0 as GPU, and motherboard MS 760GM- P34. It looks like the original owner put in a cheap PSU, a xtreme gear xg-h600 600watt. The reviews says it crappy components which can damage the computer. I am not familiar with what to look in the psu. this one has 24 amps on +12V rail. Looking online, using a formula it suggests at least 28 amp on +12V rail. WHat is this +12V rail, is it true I need a bigger PSU, and what is a cheaper but good enough PSU? Will the current one not allow the GPU and CPU to work 100%?
Thanks

Use a psu calculator (Google it) to find out how many watts you'll be needing but you should be fine, and that psu is pretty bad from what I hear, it should work for a while until you get something better. If u plan on getting a 750w psu I recommend the evga supernova g2 as I have it and it has all the cables you'd ever need, modular , inexpensive, and like a 10 year warranty.
