Please help me out over here. i am only now getting into playing games on my pc and i am not interested in multiplayer as yet. i started with dead island. when i bought the game, i thought i would pop in the dvd rom and install it into a folder on my pc and from there i would go into the game's install folder and click on an executable to start the game......But NO; as i'm sure you all know, i was forced into opening a steam account; there was no way i could find to play the game offline without internet. Now i want to try a game called Far cry 3 and from the looks of it i have to open an account with another site called uplay.....Don't these companies sell versions of the game that can reside on my hard drive and let me play with myself offline?
