Graphics card working but no software response.

So, yesterday I built my first PC, and I'd say it looks pretty nice. I already installed windows 7 on it, and when asked about the graphics card, states that none is plugged.The graphics card seems ok; fans are spinning and the screen is connected by it (HDMI) and working flawlessly, but the software acts as if none was plugged. Help please !

PSU: Corsair cx500m
Processor :intel pentium G3250
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2
Ram: Ripjawsx DDR3 2X4
Graphics: Nvidia GTX950 Windforce
SSD: samsung 850 EvoSSD 120 GB

Hi Desertspirit

Can you confirm by what you mean by 'software acts as if none was plugged'? Is this within windows where the Graphics card is not showing up or another piece of software?
