Swapping Hard drives between two computers

Hello, I am planning to swap my current harddrive from my current computer with an older i7 920 machine which I am planning to oc laying around and I'm unsure of the steps to follow. My current computer has an oem version of windows 7 upgraded to windows 10 and the 'new' pc had windows xp which was later upgraded to win7 through the upgrade windows 7 disk.

What are the steps to swapping these hard drives?

You will need to wipe the hard drive after installing it and re-install Windows 7 using the product key you have for that PC. Windows 10 you have installed will not work on the "new" PC as it is tied to the hardware.

Otherwise just plug the hard drive in in place, its fairly simple.
