Hello!

I've recently "fixed" my Desktop computer at a store that was having issues with turning on, it turned out the RAM was faulty and the Operative System in HDD was saying "Bad_System_Config" on windows 10.

I today erased such HDD and installed a clean version of Windows 7, the computer turned on, booted, everything was fine, however, the ethernet would not work. so I on my laptop downloaded a few Network drivers, and simply passed them on through USB, they did not work/install, so I went with downloading the motherboards "LAN" driver and installed it, it seemed to install correctly and it asked me for restart, truth be told before it did I got messages that I may be installing counterfit drivers or something (I ignored it because I downloaded from the Asus website) however when it went to restart, nothing showed up in the screen (same as my before problem when I 'fixed' it).

When I turn it on the computer seems to turn on, but I don't see anything ocurring on the screen. Is it possible the driver I installed was incorrect and it ruined the motherboard or something?

Take a look at your manual, but there is a small jumper on the board that says CMOS clear or something similar -- you just move it for a moment to the other pin, so like from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back. Otherwise, you can unplug the machine and remove the CMOS battery, but the jumper is easier.

I fixed the issue, the Desktop/Monitor was not receiving enough energy because I had it plugged in a multi plugged along other things. When I changed it to a surge protected plug with just desktop/monitor, it worked again. Thank you :)
