Dell Inspiron 7 beeps at startup

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron m5010 laptop that will only beep 7 times when I attempt to turn it on. After a short pause it'll beep 7 times again. This is all it will do. After a quick google search it seems that my processor is having problems. Is there anything I can try without replacing the processor? If the processor is bad can I replace just the processor or do I have to replace the entire board? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

The first thing I would try is to reinstall it. If it has pins make sure that they are not bent (you can adjust the bent pins with a small needle nose pliers) . But other than that it is a matter of replacing the CPU.

Thank you for all your help. So, is the processor soldered in place since it's a laptop?
