Hello,

I've been looking around for an ATI reference card. Not AMD, but ATI. Like a reference 5970 or something. I just wanted some advice on how to find reference models. I like them due to the fact that they have a nostalgic appeal.

Thank you

You do realize that AMD bought ATI in 2006 and just kept the ATI name until they ditched it around the time of the HD6000 series, right? So even a HD5970 would be a AMD ATI Radeon, not a ATI Radeon.

If you want to go pure ATI then the last GPU by them before AMD bought them out would be the X1950XTX. You could technically count the HD2900XT but again that was launched after AMD bought them.

Im well aware they were bought, but the card is still labelled as an ATI card. What I was implying is that I wanted an older card. The newer AMD reference coolers aren't as nice as the older 'ATI' ones if you get me.

So, any advice on where I could buy them? Not much luck on eBay.
