PC won't start after spilling coke over the case

Greetings,

I've recently spilled around 100 ml of coke over my PC. The case is Thermaltake Chaser A41 and it has a large exhaust fan with mesh on the top. I've immediately shut down by holding the power button and unplugged the power supply.

Opening up the case there was not that much liquid on the components. Aside from the video card having a small wet area there wasn't much. I've dried everything with cloth and waited around 30 minutes and then turned it on. Everything behaved normally but after around 1 minute it suddenly shut down.

I decided to give everything a thorough cleaning the next day before attempting to turn it on again. I've disassembled it and wiped everything with rubbing alcohol. Replaced the thermal paste, opened up the power supply and really cleaned the shit out of it.

When I finally tried to place the stock cooler over the CPU I managed to break one of the cooler's 4 legs. I then got a new Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. Put everything together and turned on the PC. Leds lighted for a fraction of a second and all fans moved a millimeter. That was it. PC won't start now. Motherboard has a power button and that doesn't do anything either. However, it's worth noting that the motherboard power button lights up if the power supply is plugged in. My USB mouse led lights up too.

I thought I messed something up when I opened and cleaned the power supply or the spill damaged it. Got a different power supply from a friend and I got the same result. So it appears that the power supply is not the problem.

I removed all cables and plugged them back in, making sure everything is attached properly. Same result. PC won't run.

Finally I disconnected the 8 pin CPU power cable and attempted to turn on the PC like that. Not sure what I was thinking. But then I noticed something weird. When I turned on the PC, the LEDs actually stayed on for around 1 second. This is noticeably more than the split second they stayed on when I turn on the PC with the CPU power cable attached. I am thinking it's either the motherboard or the CPU now.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. What to do?

Specs:
Case: Thermaltake Chaser A41
Power Supply: Cooltek CVS 650 W
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD4H Socket 1155
CPU: Intel Core i5 3470
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Video Card: Radeon HD 7850
Memory: Corsair 2x4GB DDR3 1866 MHz Vengeance Rev A
SSD: Corsair Force 3 GT 240 GB
HDD1: WD Green 2 TB
HDD2: WD Blue 1 TB
Optical Drive: LG DVD Writer

Update: I forgot to mention that I've also vacuumed the PC when I cleaned it. Could some kind of static buildup might have damaged something? If so, what? Might I have "fried everything"?

Update2: Bought a used motherboard: AsRock P67 Extreme 4. PC now starts, but there's no monitor output from the video card and motherboard led is stuck on code 09, which translates to southbridge initialization. Not sure what this means exactly. I've also reset the CMOS from the physical button on the new motherboard and didn't help.

Update3: Got a stick of Kingston HyperX DDR3 memory and replaced my two sticks with it. Same error code 09. So memory is not the issue. Tried out my Radeon HD 7850 in another computer and it booted OK. Video card is not the issue. Looks like the CPU might be the culprit here.

Update4: Bought a used Pentium G2030. It works fine in the new motherboard. Turns out the processor was fried by the spill. Going to test it in the old mobo too.

Update5: So right now I have a Gigabyte Z77-UD4H mobo and an i5-3470 CPU that don't work. Will take them to a computer repair center to see if they can do anything about it.

Code 09 is a memory error (RAM). Re-seat the ram again then clear CMOS for 1-2 minutes then try booting again. If that fails to clear the 09 error test each ram stick one at time seating one stick in the ram slot closest to the cpu

Tried it and I got the same result: Code 09: South Bridge initialization after microcode loading.
Removed the ram completely and got Code 53: Memory initialization error. No usable memory detected.

Got a stick of Kingston HyperX DDR3 memory and replaced my two sticks with it. Same error code 09. So memory is not the issue.

Tried out my Radeon HD 7850 in another computer and it booted OK. Video card is not the issue.

Looks like the CPU might be the culprit here.

Lbit Kate for this but you shouldn't of even attempted to start the PC after spilling lquid in it with stripping it down and you would a lot longer then 30m for it to dry fully

It does look like your CPU is the issue have you tried removing it to make sure no liquid has been trapped under the socket

Yes, I removed it and actually placed it in a new mobo. No liquid as far as I was able to see.
