The B series has always puzzled me as I have seen them advertised with warrantees between 3 and10 years. In the PSU database the B series is listed as 600B (100-B1-0600-KR) ... So what is it a B or B1 ? I have seen both advertised on the same sites at the same time with different prices and warrantees.

That overclock.net link seems to be addressing the B series only and author specifically excludes the B1 and B2.

First of the EVGA 80 plus and bronze rated units (not the B1 or B2) on paper looks like cheap 80 plus and 80 plus bronze units, but the fact is they are not very good and you should take your money elsewhere if you are looking for one of these units in a gaming and/or overclocking PC, why is that well i am going to explain in more details below.

But, he goes on to say that HEC is the OEM on the B and that's who also makes the B1

OEM on these units are HEC or as i like to call them the kings of crap as almost everything they have ever made is not very good,

Again, I have noticed that the B and B1 models are sometimes listed w/ different warranties, yet I have had little luck determining what the differences are... if any. If they're the same I have to wonder about the overclock.net link who says when I say the B series steenks, I am not talking about the B1 and B2.

The PSU database lists this as a review of the 600B (100-B1-0600-KR)
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/600B/11.html

Jonnyguru gave the 500B a pretty good rating (8.5 Build Quality)

With the 500B, EVGA did pretty much what they set out to do - release a good, solid, no frills power supply at an affordable price. No, it doesn't have the performance of the Supernova units, but it really doesn't have to. That kind of performance costs money, and if you're shopping at the fifty bean level you simply cannot afford a world class unit. Units like this one are the next best thing. I'd like to see the Japanese capacitors used on at least the 5VSB output, but that remains my only major complaint right now. You could do a lot worse than one of these if all you have is fifty bucks to your name.

But he 600B uses better APFC FETs and +12V rectifiers, so that would have to be scored a bit higher.

With the 750 B2 still available at $44, it's pretty much all I recommend to budget conscious users but I am oft asked about the smaller B / B1 series and I just don't get why the B and B1 are sometimes advertised as different models.
