So I just got a new CPU(i7-4790K) and motherboard(GA-H81M-HD3) with an old hard drive. I got everything instaled hardware wise but I think I need to install the BIOS because when it starts windows it blue screes and instantly goes to the motherboard screen. When ever I try to boot the CD that came with the motherboard it boots windows. I got the BIOS files from here http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4674#bios but when I try to but the file on my fashdrive and load it it says BIOS ID check Error. Can some one can link me to a tutorial or help me thanks.

Hi Nightmarej8 for me no need to reflash you BIOS system because of BSOD(blue screen of death). I think the problem is the old driver of your old hard drive. If this old hard drive use from your old mobo all the drivers is configured here. so before your change a new cpu and motherboard remove all your old device driver because this will cause BSOD once you install a new motherboard. Another thing you can format you old HDD with your OS installer DVD but backup first your files.
