Hey guys. I've got a problem and I must humbly ask you folks for some much needed advice. First things first, I currently live in Canada (recently moved from the U.S) and it looks like I might soon be getting a job in England. The problem is, I've got a hefty mid tower desktop PC on the larger side. Here are its specs:

FX 8350 @4.4 ghz (overclocked)
GTX 970 4 GB (3.5 i guess...whatever)
2 TB of Hard Drive space. No SD.
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600mhz
Fatal1ty OCZ Power Supply 750w
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

I'm a pretty heavy gamer so I value high end performance, but I should stress that I don't mind if getting a new rig means a slight downgrade. The question is what do I do from here? Do I sell the computer (for say $800-$1000???). If so, what's the best way to sell it? My brother sold his computer in one piece and it worked out fine but I'm weary of this option. Do I perhaps try to ship it over to England (this is probably one of my least desirable options but if anyone has a good idea of how to do this, I will of course consider it).

Furthermore, what do I replace it with if I do sell it? I really like how far Mini-ITX builds have come and there are some impressive console sized chassis that are super portable and can still fit an i5 and a gtx 970. I would certainly like to avoid building another giant mid tower or tower rig again because I might be forced to move around frequently in the future.

I should also mention that I do have an MSI gaming laptop. It's got an i7 4720HQ, a gtx 860m, and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. It's nothing fancy, of course, but it can certainly play a lot of games respectably well (although it struggles with some of my favorite games like Witcher 3 for example).

I "COULD" get another laptop by selling off both the desktop and laptop to buy a beefier laptop but something tells me that would be unwise.

The final option is to sell the desktop and be more frugal with my finances by holding onto the earnings, but at this point, I have enough money saved for the move across the Atlantic that I can afford to spend about $1000 on a rig, give or take.

So what do you guys think? I would love to hear your suggestions and I appreciate you taking your time to read this and offer your recommendations.

It depends. Are you planning on shipping anything else to england? If so I don't see a problem with shipping the computer as is. All you would have to do is remove the CPU cooler unless it's a AIO water cooling unit. Otherwise you could just sell the CPU, mobo, ram and case on craigs list. It should be easy enough to pack and mybe carry on the rest of your PC. Then when you get to england buy a new mini itx case, mobo, cpu and ram.
