Hello all, I recently bought a mic, camera, capture card and a lot of other stuff to get going with my own youtube channel /twitch streaming. Unfortunately, I did not know how that my computer from 2010 wasn't going to cut it any longer if I wanted to stream and do videos at 1080p and 60fps.

I really need help in finding not only a computer that can stream, multi task, and play games but not go over 1400 budget if possible. I have read that I need an i7 at least and a great graphics card but I am not sure since the last time I built a computer was back in 2002.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Beezy, if he wish to make youtube why not just let him instead of being a idiot? If you dont like it, then just ignore it.

Before you start to worry about parts and build and so, ask yourself these few questions:
1. What will i use the pc for? - That you answered, you wanna game on it, record on it and i guess also edit videos.
2. What is my budget? - That you have also answered.
3. Do i wanna be able to overclock? - That is a important question, because if you wish to overclock then you need CPU, GPU and motherboard with overclock-support.

- Once these questions are answered then its easier for you to choose. At your price-range on 1.4k, i recommend you go with intel. I have owned both AMD and Intel, and i just find Intel more trusty and reliable but its just personal opinion.

A little rule: AMD = Budget pc, bang for the buck, but many like me likes intel better because of the newer CPUs, and more user-friendly "interface."

Also, you say that you that you have read that you need a i7 at least. That i do not really agree in, a "high" i5 is better than a "low" i7.
I have a skylake cpu myself, for example you get 0,3 Ghz more with the i5 6400K than with the i7 6700 (non k)
(Intel K cpu's are unlocked, giving you acces to overclock more than a locked cpu.)

I got a i7 6700 (non k), and at first i was a bit annoyed over my buy, but it turned out that i got 4.0 Ghz because of turbo boost (not oc) which is the same as Ghz at the best skylake cpu on stock. (I dont plan on overclocking anyway.) It actually depends on if you wish to overclock or not.

i7 is better than the i5 for video editing, photoshop and so because of the hypertreading as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnS50lJicXc but not always the extra money worth.
