What processor upgrades can i get for a Aspire® 5732Z laptop? i recently got the game GTA4 and it wont work with the current processor

No need to apologize :??:
GTA4 is a rather modern game. Here are the minimum system requirements:

The intel integrated graphics very much under-perform their competitors right now. Even so, I wouldn't try to play GTA4 on integrated graphics.
If you have nothing to play GTA4 on right now and want to play it, you'd be looking to at least a $400 desktop machine, not including a monitor. Did you just want to play it on your laptop or are you stuck without something to play it on?

im stuck without anything to play it on, but i do have a dell dimension 3100 that has not been upgraded. It might be cheaper to upgrade that than a whole new computer.

Probably not. Thats your mobo and it only has a PCIe x1 slot. Wont work for a GPU.

Thats your PC.

You are better off getting a new PC TBH. You can build a decent one for $400 is you go with a AMD setup since they have decent systems for pretty cheap and a mid range HD5K series GPU.

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $69.99

AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX445WFGMBOX $77.99 (want at least a triple core for GTA4, trust me)

You can use the DDR2 from the Dell as well as the case so that cuts $100 from the budget.

SAPPHIRE 100283-3L Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card $139.99

Total: $289.97. As I said, the case should fit the mobo and GPU. You can use the memory since it has 2GB of DDR2 and the mobo supports DDR2.

For the HDD though, I would upgrade it but its your choice. Your current HDD is a UIDE based and will bottleneck your system pretty badly. If you add in a HDD like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148395

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive $54.99

The total is: $344.96

that HDD would be good since it is SATA 3.0 and has plenty of space.

If you need memory get this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145590&cm_re=DDR2-_-20-145-590-_-Product

2GB of Corsair, $54.99. Only if you have less than 2Gb of RAM.

Thats what I would do if I were in your shoes.

^yep, pretty much your only option. The pentium 4 is way too old and GTA4 is poorly optimized. It needs more than one CPU core to play. If you want to cut your budget, I wouldn't go any lower than a radeon 4670. Or well, any card under about $70 today.

At my local computer shop, the price is $50 for a system build. But if you have a tekky friend, they might be willing to do it for free. It wouldn't take them much time.
