One PCIe cable or two separate cables for 980 TI?

I don't have a 980ti but normally you would have an two separate 6+2 cables. Having them combined i'm not sure, it might just be a PSU design but the norm is two separate cables.
2 cables. yes you run a risk.
I have a 1050w Seasonic platinum (bought it so the fan would never need to turn on) and its clearly states, with a warning slip, that for cards up to 225w you can use one cable.
The 980ti is a 250w card.

i am running a asus gtx 980ti off of one cable with 2 6 pin connectors on and have had no issue, i have even been able to set a moderate overclock on the card
it mainly depends on your psu quality, i have a high end psu whitch can easily handle the power but it all depends on your psu, and the rails that it uses
