I got a stable oc with my 4770k at 4.4GHz at 1.250v been using it fine for 2 months now but when I first did the oc I checked cpu-z and it showed on loads it was at 4.4GHz and 1.250v and just when doing nothing everything closed it was like 0.900GHz and using 0.722v (it did this from me setting the core voltage in bios to auto ) then I checked on task manager now ( 2 months later ) and it showed the cpu running at 4.4GHz while doing nothing then I checked CPU-z and I don't know what's changed since then but it shows that my cpu is running constant at 1.250v and 4.4GHz... my question is can I change it back somehow and is using my pc like that dangerous? It has no effect on heat.

No it's safe, CPU-Z may have a glitch from a Win update or other, or Speedstep may have gotten turned off in the BIOS
