My friend just installed an R9 280x (Upgrading from a 7770). He's having some bottleneck issues. Looking at his PC specs, the bottleneck is obviously the CPU. Keep in mind, he's looking for FPS. Here are his specs.

GPU: PowerColor R9 280x
CPU: FX-4130
CPU Cooler: Stock
PSU: Corsair CX600
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM: 2 x 4gb Crucial Ballistix Sport
Storage: 1 x 500gb Western Digital Blue 7200rpm

The most money he could fork out is probably around $150. So a motherboard upgrade might not be possible.

Thank you in advance.

Looks like the 8320 is the fastest AMD CPU for the money you have. If you subscribe to newegg.com newsletter, they have sales on them and the 8350 often.
