hi my desktop computer suddenly stopped working today. last night i was still able to play on it and go onto the internet but early this morning my niece and father weren't able to use it. it shows no signal on monitor.

ive tried:
-restarting the thing (didnt produce any beep codes at all)
-connecting laptop to monitor(was able to make the monitor work)
-cleaning the memory with an eraser and changing slots
-disconnecting stuff to produce beep codes(hdd and ram)-still no beep codes
-replacing cmos battery
-finally repluging everything and cleaning it from dust etc.

is there anyway to save my baby?

Solution
3. try removing the board and see if there're any extra ones standing as they could potentially short the motherboard.
4. try reseating it again
7. just to clarify, it means that make sure that the ram properly installed, meaning you should hear the 'click' sound
12. again, just to clarify, when you install the cpu cooler, did any thermal paste accidentally touch the underside of the cpu? but since you said that you did not remove the cpu at all, then this is not issue.

if resetting the cmos is not helping, then maybe its the psu. try booting with a different one.

checked through it:
1: i have no manual it was just given to me by my sister
2: i got that right-reconnected that too
3: didnt take it off that way at all.
4: yes because the last time(a few months ago) i had a problem with the pc and reseated that card
5: yes this i can attest to having done
6: i only have 1 ram stick
7: this i dont understand. but if its about the ram put it in several times and tried it several times(my fingers actualy hurt from pushing the thing)
8: no manual- but i tried with both
9: wasnt able to check that, i dont think i saw anything shiny like plastic there(computer is like 10 yrs old already)
10: i didnt remove this so not sure
11: no i dont think so. i havent seen this
12: i dont have any idea on what this is
13: yes it is made sure of it
14: I do remember seeing this but i havent cleaned underneath it
15: nope i tried tilting the thing to see anything loose-came up with nothing
16: the case is a bit too small for my hands so i would be touching some stuff while working on things inside
17: i dont think i saw anything like this there
18: no manual: but a led light shows in front
19: no switch on psu
20: it has worked for 10 years so i think it does
21: trying this out right now-will update you
22:have tried all the ports for the monitor on the thing
23: made sure of this

thank you for the list
