Is the AMD A6 7400k good for a cheap gaming PC?

I got an old PC which I am hoping to turn into a gaming PC and I want to start by getting a cheap CPU. I am planning to get the AMD A6 7400k as a cheap, basic CPU but I would like to know how it will run some games. I wont have a graphics card straight away but will it at least be able to run GTA V on lowest settings at about 25-30fps? Is this a good CPU for a cheap gaming PC?

I would try to atleast get an I3 4150 or something. I wouldnt waste my money on the A6 7400k, especially if your trying to run GTA V you will need a decent graphics card.

Buying a strong APU for casual gaming is not a bad idea.
But A6-7400k is not a strong APU. And GTA V is not casual gaming...

I would say for gta you would need at least a quad core apu. If you're putting a discrete graphics card it should be fine. Upgrade to at least the 7700k.
