Hello All,

Apologies if my question is in the wrong location. I used to be a PC Gamer, but for the past year or so I've been playing on my PS4. It's all good, however, being an ex-PC gamer I feel I am not getting 100%. What do I mean by this? Well, when I play Fallout 4 or The Witcher 3, I know the graphics will be better on a PC. I know I can add mods (I love mods) to this game to make it even better. I will still keep my PS4 for gaming if I buy a PC, but it will be solely used for PS4 exclusives.

Now, I've been looking online for a potential PC. I recently moved into my new apartment, so space is limited in the sense that I want to fit the PC in my cabinet where I store my PS4, router, etc. I have enough space for a case size of '300x350x400 (WxHxD in mm)'. I must stress that it can't be any bigger than this and no I can't leave it outside the cabinet because my two cats would p*ss all over it (or sit on it).

Another point, I know it is cheaper if I build my own. I do not have the time and the experience for this. My budget is £1,500 (I live in London).

Out of the two, which would you recommend? Please note:
1 - Airflow is very important, I will be playing games on high settings. I want to avoid very high temperatures.
2 - One of the reasons why I am hesitate on the first one is the air flow/wattage (sufficient?).
3 - I want the option to upgrade 2-3 years down the line, such as the CPU or Graphics card.
4 - I am not a fan of Overclocking or Liquid Cooling.
5 - The Hard Drive doesn't need to be anything more than 500gb, I am good with space.
6 - The two options are from http://www.scan.co.uk/

in the first build 430 power isn't enough I would go for atleast 750W tier 3 psu as ur using a 980ti.. and going for a k version of the cpu is useless if ur not overclocking and since clearly ur only gaming an I5 wouldn't do any damage as i7 has no advantage over a i5 in gaming basis... I would go for a i5 with a better psu and cooler with a 980ti 8-16gb ram a mobo which fits in ur small case...

I appreciate the advice and reply. I've made a third option with a different case (smaller than option 2 but bigger than option 1, also, I dropped to an i5 but can't get rid of the 'k' as I will have to enquire about this since I won't be overclocking) is this better? Can I also ask why I would need 750w and not 650w?

Intel Core i5 6600K CPU
120GB Samsung 850 EVO, 2.5" SSD, SATA III 6Gb/s, MGX, 3D V-NAND, 256MB Cache, Read 540MB/s, Write 520MB/s, 94k/88k IOPS
16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-24000 (3000), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 15-17-17-35, XMP 2.0, 1.35V
250GB Samsung 850 EVO, 2.5" SSD, SATA III 6Gb/s, MGX, 3D V-NAND, 512MB Cache, Read 540MB/s, Write 520MB/s, 97k IOPS
EVGA 980Ti FTW XMAS Systems
RMX650 650W 80PLUS Gold Fully-Modular PSU
Windows 7 Professional FQC-00463
Asus Z170M-PLUS, Intel Z170, S 1151, DDR4, SATAe, M.2 (PCIe/SATA), 2-Way CrossFire, Intel LAN, USB C (5Gbps), Micro ATX
Noctua NH-L9i Low Profile Quiet CPU Cooler, Intel LGA1150/1151/1155/1156
Thermaltake Core V21 micro-ATX Mesh Stackable Cube Computer Chassis with Window Panel, USB 3.0, 200mm Non-LED Fan - 320 x 336 x 424 (WxHxD mm)

u have a high end build so it would require a better psu like a 750W one and don't go for corsair cuz it won't run for 2-3 years it will die pretty soon go for a evga or seasonic one.... and can I know why u need a k and a z type mobo if ur not overclocking???

I will be getting rid of the Z and K. They are there for now because the website I will potentially buy from doesn't give me the option to chose another. I will need to inquire about this.

Thank you for your help, really appreciate it. Also, this might be a stupid question but I am assuming I can simply connect a HDMI cable to the 980ti from my HD TV and it should all work?

Do you also think the case is good for what I will be using it for?

yes it would be okay but i dnt recommend it cuz it could get heat up as ur putting it in ur cabinet if u can try to put it somewhere near a fan cuz heating issues might lower ur builds performance.. and yes HDMI cable should work if the 980ti has one lol dnt know cuz i never seen one for real lol

now a days games use extra threads so it is better to get a i7.6700k is waste of money because for the same price you get better fallout uses extra threads
see this you will understand http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-the-best-pc-hardware-for-fallout-4-4023

going for a i7 5820k is useless and a i5 would give him good gameplay for 3 years... plus he does upgrade in 3 years so going for a i5 is okay.. plus most of the games arent cpu intensive most are gpu based and for that he has the 980ti which is best..

if you are connecting to a TV, and its not 4K, then it will be 1920x1080, and all you need for that is R9 380 or GTX 960 to max out ultra settings on your TV, this will lower your PSU requirement to about a 550W model. the 980ti would be for triple screen gaming or 4K gaming, and is overkill for 1920x1080

future games will use extra threads because even now games use threads so getting i7 is way better for saving and overclocking 4790k is gr8 for more saving xeon 1240v3 is gr8 and for spending money and overclocking 5820k is best

A couple of suggestions, but they kind of go against the grain regarding what you want for a few reasons:
1. Airflow for the CPU is pretty minimal as there's only 3" clearance for a CPU cooler
2. As a result, liquid cooling the CPU would be the only real way to go
3. It's not a prebuild, so if you don't have the time or are not comfortable, you'd need to find someone willing to put it together for you.
4. A 980ti is out of the question due to length. At the 'high end' of the GPU scale, the case is limited to R9 Fury/Fury X or Nano (or a Zotac Titan X for more than a grand) at the moment.

Both builds are around 400 quid under budget though

I'm really intruiged by this case - I'd buy it myself if my GPU and liquid cooling would fit.

Don't worry about the H55 being unconfirmed as compatible on PCPP - as per this video, it does fit.
