I'm going to buy a Radeon R7 260x. Should I buy AMD or Powercolor's version?

It's pretty much what the title said. I got a good price from my retailer and I'm probably going to buy this GPU anyway, but I'm in doubt if I should buy AMD's R7 260x or Powercolor's version of the same GPU. They're almost the same, and GPUBoss doesn't seem to make much of a difference between them, but I would like to know if there's anything that can tilt the balance for one or the other. I'll be using the GPU for gaming.

That doesn't really help much if you are looking for which is the fastest clocked of the two. It will depend on the model of each one that determines the clock speed. But in terms of quality, I would pick the Sapphire over Powercolor any day.

I'd have to see the two cards to say for sure. Can you find a link to them online? But both use an AMD (ATI) GPU. Powercolor is one of AMD's manufacturing partners. Not sure who makes the "AMD" branded card you speak of. But if it is made by AMD themselves, it is probably a reference design at reference speed. The Powercolor may have a faster clock, don't know till I see the cards.

Yeah clock seems to be the same. I was wondering which one had better quality, so I use well my money. Thanks.

While I'm here - I googled the GPUs names and it seems there used to be some problem with black screens related to the R7 260x. Is it still a thing or has it been fixed? (the last post regarding the matter I have found was from 2014, so I suppose it was fixed eventually)

I have had the Sapphire R7 260X since April 2015, no black screens or any other problems so far. Just make sure you have latest drivers from AMD.
