So recently I have been using AMD Overdrive to monitor my temperature. It says my cores are between 60 and 70 degrees when on idle and at around 40 degrees when on load. This does't make any sense. XD Could anyone point me to the best CPU temperature monitoring solution they know of?

My Specs
Gigabyte GAF88XM-D3H mobo
AMD a8-7600 APU
2x hyper x fury 4gb clocked at 1866
Sandisk 240gb SSD
EVGA 500W
Windows 10

Once you get around room temp, the temp sensors aren't accurate. I've seen mine say as low as 9 deg C. Definitely not that cool. I'm assuming they construct the temperature sensors to be most accurate at the range of temperatures where damage is about to occur to components. They likely save money this way. So assume anything below 50 deg C to be cool enough.

Thanks guys. I really don't trust my thermal sensors because my APU is running at around 25C according to several monitoring software, and that seems impossible to me because I was always told stock AMD CPU coolers are garbage. I decided to play it safe and buy a 212 EVO for the long haul. Thanks again for the help.
