Can someone help on how to set a static IP for my new router and disable DHCP on it. This is to make sure there are no NAT/IP issues. The thing is that my modem/router has to have a different IP than the ASUS router. So how do I switch DHCP on my ASUS router off and give it a static IP that is not in range of my modem/router. Thanks for the help.

You have to set the LAN IP address to a static BEFORE you toggle the mode. I had this problem also. You can just do a factory reset and try again....

The DHCP server and the LAN IP address are both on the LAN tab of the setup screens

So you are trying to use the Asus as a wireless access point? If so there is a single button option

Yeah thats what I'm trying to do. But when I click that button for putting it in wireless acces point mode, I can't login on the Asus router, is that correct? So my other settings stop working..
