I just got the KM780 RBG, and when I installed the software it worked. After restarting my system, it doesn't work giving me the message, "RIPJAWS KM780 RGB has stopped working". I've tried reinstalling the software, running it on compatibility mode, I've tried an older version of the software....and I still get the same message.
I decided to go nuts, and reinstall Windows on my gaming PC and start with a clean slate. I mean, the software will for sure work after that, right? Nope! It did the same thing, it worked once, until I restarted my PC.
When I search the internet, I find no reference to this problem other than an brief note on some Amazon feedback that says,
"CONs:
1) Software...most horrendous experience ever at this point.
2) This keyboard fails on the customizable RGB lighting & programmable keys just because the software just isn't ready for prime time.
3) A lot of people I have talked to have also had issues getting the software to run in Windows, they had to reboot and delete all drivers multiple times... mine worked fine though.
4) The pass-through has not worked for numerous Logitech mouses.... I have a Logitech mouse that didn't pass through (USB not connected)... but mostly use my anchor mouse anyway and it works.
5) There is also potential for reboots of your computer to screw up your profile... so good luck with that"
So does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Before I had the software issue I actually ordered a 2nd keyboard for another computer, and I am really starting to regret that!
