Today, I have completed my first Pc build.

My cpu is a pentium G3258 and I did my first boot up and went into the Bios.
My CPU temp was 60 degrees. Is it normal? too hot?

thank you.

Too hot. I suspect you don't have the cooler mounted correctly. Without removing the cooler, see if the 4 push-pin feet are evenly expanded behind the board. From the front side, check that all 4 feet are firmly planted on the board. Many times what happens is that the 4 push pin feet don't get seated correctly, leaving the cooler not securely against the CPU.

If that is what you find... Unlock the 4 push-pin thumb pads with a screwdriver (CCW turn, lift up) one at a time, then twist the thumb pads back CW and FIRMLY (while holding the cooler firmly to the CPU, push the thumb pad back down until you hear or feel it click. Do that for all four feet.

Yeah... It's ideal to have it at ~35 degrees, however, nothing bad will come out of this CPU running this hot until it gets to about 75 degrees. Are you using stock heatsink? Overclocking? That may be a part of the high temp issues. Since the processor is still fairly new, if you're overclocking, I'd recommend buying a better heatsink, but if not, there's really not much to worry about as long as the processor doesn't get too much hotter.
