Can I swap GPU coolers?

I have a MSI TF4 R9 280x and I was wondering if i could swap the twin frozr 4 cooler for the twin frozr 5 cooler from another AMD or even Nvidia card, I just find the twin frozr 4 to be a bit dull a few of my mates have MSI TF5 Nvidia cards and they just look a lot more visually appealing plus it might help with a small cooling problem I'm having.

Selling your current 280x and getting a new one probably isn't going to be that much more expensive than trying to find a new GPU cooler. You also save yourself the hassle of making sure it fits and other problems that might occur.

But just for GPU core cooling shouldn't it only require the 4 core screws to line up?

It's only minor about 5 degrees C more than normal nothing to shit the bed over, it runs all my games on full, I don't need to run out and get a new card like tomorrow. I'm just looking at this from an aesthetics point of view.

DIY Perks made a PC that has a CPU cooler attached to the GPU and doesn't include heating for the VRam, and it'll run heaven benchmark maxed without issues.
